Youth Work Week 2023 will take place from Monday 6 to Sunday 12 November 2023. The theme this year is youth work in every place and space. It’s our opportunity to show decision-makers and celebrate with our peers the variety of youth work taking place in different locations and contexts.

As part of the campaign UYA and young people are:

  • Having their voices amplified through the ‘Be who you want to be’ Engagement process
  • Developing core resources and media in partnership with Plan International Dundee University and Media Education Scotland to launch Let me speak’ film
  • Co designing the International Men’s event on the 17th November
  • Planning for the 4 nations event in Scotland for International Women’s Day on 8th March 2024

The annual Youth Work Week event, hosted by the National Youth Agency, aims to raise awareness of the life-changing difference youth workers have on young people aged between 8 – 25 years of age. This year Youth Work Week is focusing on the breadth of youth work taking place across the country: in youth centres, hospitals, outdoor activity centres, cultural spaces and so much more.

Youth Work Week is a chance to raise awareness of the difference youth work makes to young people, providing them with somewhere to go, something fun to do, the chance to make new friends, learn new skills and receive the support of a trusted adult.
