United Youth Alliance, celebrated last month, the Power of Youth Day, at the Backlot Cinema, in partnership with #iwill movement,  bringing together young people, businesses, education and youth organisations to work together to support young people’s voices and social action.

UYA are asking The Fylde Coast to come together by signing the Power of Youth Charter, to demonstrate our commitment to Be that Person, which every young person deserves and to have a Call to Action to be the change we want to see here on The Fylde Coast AND create the first Coastal Social Action area.

We don’t follow a strict blueprint for this work. Instead, we listen to young people, are guided by our values and principles, and strive to clear the space for them to influence the change so desperately needed in communities and wider society. It is truly inspiring to walk this path alongside so many young leaders across Blackpool and the Fylde, supported by dedicated stakeholders in their community. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us- and invite others committed to the Power of Youth to sign the charter and join us.

UYA are committed to develop a system every young person deserves. It’s a call to action to collectively be the change we wish to see.

It was fantastic to be amongst so many passionate local stakeholders, all united by their commitment to youth social action and their dedication to sharing power with young people. As the #iwill Movement, our mission is to create a society where young people are empowered and equipped to shape and lead change—both in their hometowns and across the UK. Driven by the issues that matter to young people, we work collaboratively with partners to make this happen. Holly Nottcutt Head of Partnerships and Impact #iwill
