UYA working in partnership with young women, Dundee University, Media Education and Plan international to co create a a variety of media to ‘Show us what it’s like to be a young woman in 2023’
Together we discussed the topics that are important to young women and explored issues around the rights of women and girls in the UK today. Working with those ideas, young women worked towards gaining a college qualification by creating films, taking photographs and making posters, graphics and zines. Those images and voices will form part of a national and international campaign to ensure Fylde Coast young women’s voices are heard by politicians and decision makers.
Women from across the Town came together including our Mayoress to support the project and have her voice heard.
